Después de varios años de ausencia regresa el basquetbol a la Ciudad de México, el nuevo equipo llevará el nombre de Capitanes y será parte de la Liga Nacional de Basquetbol Profesional (LNBP), cabe señalar que el debut de la franquicia será para la temporada 2017-2018 bajo la dirección del entrenador Ramón Díaz.

El Coach Díaz, tiene una amplia experiencia en el deporte ráfaga participando en eventos nacionales e internacionales y basta recordar también que formó parte de la magia de los Doce Guerreros.

La nueva franquicia es una iniciativa de un grupo de empresarios mexicanos que está liderado por Moisés Cosío.

Se tiene contemplado el Gimnasio Juan de la Barrera como la duela donde los Capitanes jueguen sus partidos de local y serán nueve los jugadores que integren la plantilla, el equipo tendrá un pretemporada que dará inicio en julio del 2017, antes de que comience el torneo oficial.

lnbpLa LNBP se fundó el 11 de marzo de 2000 en la ciudad de Durango y es la liga de baloncesto más importante de México. Actualmente cuenta con 10 equipos que participan dentro del torneo a lo largo y ancho de todo el país.

La temporada 2016-17 dio inicio el 13 de octubre y concluirá su temporada regular el 11 de febrero de 2017. Se planea comenzar los playoffs el 16 de febrero y finalizar el 25 de marzo.

Cuenta con una plantilla de 12 jugadores de los cuales tres son norteamericanos.

El costo de los boletos por partido son de $60 pesos en la zona más alta del recinto, la zona general $110 de pesos y los lugares más cercanos a la cancha es de $170 pesos.

El equipo tiene como patrocinadores a Caja Popular Mexicana, Electrolit, Life & Fitness y Tv 4.

Barreteros

barreterosEste equipo radica en la ciudad de Zacatecas desde el 2004, los partidos se llevan a cabo en el Gimnasio Marcelino González, con capacidad para 3,500 espectadores, de sus 12 jugadores tres son de nacionalidad estadounidense.

No participó en la temporada 2015-2016 debido a las complicaciones económicas, altas pretensiones salariales de jugadores y directivos, así como la baja asistencia de los aficionados a los encuentros.

Los precios del abono para toda la temporada son: butaca azul $1,700, butaca verde $1,500 y general $700 pesos.
